Valerie Lee
San Francisco native Valerie Lee’s martial arts studies began as a teen. After her successful competitive martial arts career, she began teaching and incorporating Chinese medicine into her Kung Fu classes. Her seminars include active and practical exercises suitable for all levels of fitness. Sifu (teacher) Valerie teaches Chen Taiji, Long Fist, Bagua, and weapons classes in Golden Gate Park, and at San Francisco State University.
As a Licensed Acupuncturist and Doctor of Oriental Medicine, she has been in private practice since 1987. She served as faculty at ACCHS Acupuncture School in Oakland, CA teaching points location and case studies. Trained for substance abuse acupuncture with Acupuncture Recovery Treatment Services (ARTS), she worked in San Francisco County Jails and conducted related seminars throughout the Bay Area.
Her areas of specialty include women’s health designed for the contemporary woman, and skeletal pain relief related to sports. Benefits include improved mental clarity, increased physical activity and focused productivity. She utilizes acupuncture, Qigong exercises, herbal support, and constitutional dietary suggestions.
